Time will pass you by
This historic scooter DVD was taken on Super 8 mm cine film over 30 years ago and has spent the best part of that in Mike Pacey’s loft. The film has been digitally remastered by Video Station Of London.
Living in the steel town of Scunthorpe, Lincs, as a young lad Mike was often seen riding around on his Lambretta GP 200 and used to take his camera to scooter runs in the mid-late 70s. Reading the book ‘Time, Trouble and Money’ inspired him to finally get the film transferred to DVD format, as is in the same frame and many faces from the book are also on the film. Mike says: “After all, I’m only the custodian of these memories; many people who have a copy also have grandchildren and are proud to show them the way life was. Even if you are into the current scooter revival scene you’ll appreciate a copy. It’s around 20 minutes long and pure nostalgia”.
There are only 50 copies available, so don't miss out. Runs covered are Scarborough, Skegness, Southend and Cadwell Park Racing. If you look on YouTube for ‘Time Will Pass You By’ you’ll find a mini clip of the DVD. It will bring back some memories. The DVD costs £10 plus £1.50 p&p.
